Product Photography
Product photography is where I started my journey as a photographer. Since starting, I’ve progressed from photographing my own design work to photographing others’ products. From there, I somehow ended up photographing the Silver Ferns and Dan Carter for M2 Magazine. It’s been a wild ride, but I’m so grateful I’m here!

Commercial Photography
Photographing Dan Carter was a challenge; we were at Mission Bay, set up in the park, and the sky was perfectly clear of clouds. A stunning day, but if you know photographers, you know we love our clouds. They defuse the sun’s harsh light for us, smoothing out the contrast, which gives us a bigger scope to get the photos we want to get. Luckily for me, I was photographing Dan Carter and his performance coach, Gus Lam, and the high contrast worked well to showcase their athletic builds.
Photographing the Silver Ferns was equally amazing. The woman towered over my barely five-foot-four frame, I should have felt out of place amongst them, but they were so lovely; photographing them was a delight. This photo of Erena Milaere and Gus boxing is my favourite image I’ve ever taken.

Portrait and Candid Photography
My favourite photos tend to be these candid shots. I’m not a photographer who likes to pose people too much; I love to see who people really are and try to capture that. Children are extremely fun to watch giggle as I threaten to tickle them with a feather duster. I feel like the photography version of Captain Feathersword, and usually equally brightly dressed.
